Turkish coffee decanters are designed to allow the solids of the coffee to settle to the bottom of the decanter. They are a necessary tool for anyone who serves Turkish coffee. The special shape of the Turkish coffee decanters encourages the settling of the dregs as you serve the coffee. It does not go directly on the stovetop, but is designed to allow the dregs to settle before service. Once the coffee is prepared, it should have a thick, frothy foam on top and there should not be any visible particles or coffee grounds floating in the coffee.
