Good restaurant table linens should be durable, soft, absorbent and lightweight. They come in many different colors and patterns, so finding something that will match your décor is a relatively easy task. Though white is a common color in fine-dining establishments and goes with anything, white tablecloths will stain easily. Although the stains can be bleached out, the fabric will begin to show wear more quickly.
Most establishments will send their restaurant table linens off to a cleaning service, but you want to make sure the service follows the manufacturer’s recommendations when cleaning. Most of the same rules apply as when washing clothes at home. Do not overload the washer or dryer. Try to avoid harsh chemicals that may fade the coloring. Finally, do not set the dryer on too high of a temperature, since it could shrink or crinkle the fabric.
