Sugar Pourers

In lieu of sugar packets, many restauranteurs opt for sugar pourers. These are large jars that usually hold about 12 ounces of sugar. Their lids have a hole or a flip-cap build in, making it easy to pour sugar directly from the jar and into tea or coffee.

Sugar pourers, like salt and pepper shakers, are designed to be left on the tabletop to be used when needed. Often these sugar pourers are located next to cups of single-serve coffee creamer. Choose from glass jars or plastic jars to get the look and feel you want for your operation, and pay special attention to the lids. The flip-cap lid design on some of the shakers is a handy way to keep out any contaminants. When tipped over to pour, the cap flips open to let the sugar out. When the sugar pourer is repositioned upright on the table, the flap closes. The others use a hole in the center of the lid, which is still just as functional.
