Message stands are free-standing frames used to display important information in a lobby or entrance area. They are available with a variety of pre-printed messages, including messages that read "Wet Floor," "Smoking Section," "Hostess Will Seat You," "Please Wait To Be Seated" and more. They are often used at the entrance and waiting area of restaurants to inform patrons of how the seating is handled.

Message stands are also commonly found in hotel lobbys or outside of smoking or non-smoking sections. Some of the models are even available with write-on boards so that they can be used to display any information, including specials or a welcome message.
