Display Baskets

When purchasing a display basket, metal type is an important consideration. To reduce the risk that your basket will rust or corrode at the welding sites, look for a basket with a powder coating or stainless steel finish. Wicker baskets are another good choice. Wrought iron is prone to rusting, but when properly cared for it can last for decades without corrosion.

To keep your baskets from rusting, dry them immediately after washing, and avoid putting them in the dishwasher when possible. If your basket is beginning to rust, get a piece of steel wool and try to scour the rust off of the metal. The sooner you get at the rust with the steel wool, the more likely it is that you will be able to salvage your display basket.
