Condiment Jars

Condiments are often brought to the table after the guests places his or her order. Ketchup and mustard often come in their own squeeze bottles, but things like jam, salsa, chili sauce and relish may come in vessels called condiment jars. Take a look and see if any of these jars suit your menu items and service style.

These jars are designed to hold small amounts of condiments to be carried to or stored on the tabletop during meal service. Many jars come with their own lid, although most of the time spoons are not included. However, the lids are designed with a small hole on the side so that a spoon handle can fit through, allowing a spoon to stay in the jar even with the lid on top. This makes serving the condiments easier, both for the guest and the server. Some condiment jars require metal lids that screw on top, requiring a little more work to get it open but providing a more airtight seal for storage in a refrigerator.
