With so much variety, it is important to narrow down your choices, and there are two major considerations you should take into account to help you find the perfect faucet for you. The first thing to consider is the faucet center. The faucet center tells you how far apart the hot and cold water inlets are from each other. Typically, they are either four or eight inches apart, so you will want to make sure that you measure how far apart your water pipes are and purchase a faucet with a matching faucet-center measurement.
The second important consideration when shopping for a faucet is the size and style of the faucet. Taller gooseneck faucets, for example, are great choices for single compartment kitchen or prep sinks because you can easily fit tall pots or pans underneath them to fill. However, they are not well suited for use with multi-compartment sinks because they’re not long enough to reach all of the compartments and they don’t swivel well.
