Champion Door-Type Dishwashers

Like all dish machines, the Champion door-type dishwashers can sanitize dishes using either high temperature water or a chemical additive. Hot water sanitizers tend to get dishes clean the first time because the water can easily dissolve food grease and lipstick; plus, they do not use as many potentially harmful chemicals. However, chemical sanitizers tend to use a little less energy because the rinse water does not have to be as hot.

Whichever type of Champion door-type dishwasher you decide upon, they all have a few standard features that make them easy to use. For example, the wash cycle can be activated or deactivated by closing or opening the door. You will want to be careful when opening the door during the wash cycle, however. Just crack the door and wait for the arms to stop spinning to protect you from burning hot water.

Each unit also comes with a low water cutoff. The tank heaters are an electrical heating element that is submerged in the wash tank water. The elements are designed to work only when submerged; if the tank goes dry and the heaters are still on, they will burn out. The low water cutoff protects you from having to replace the element by turning off the unit when the wash tank water level gets too low.
