Porcelain Platters

When considering porcelain platters, think about where you plan to put the platters. If you want the dishes to be carried several times throughout the dinner, porcelain is not your best option, as it is heavy. However, if you are setting up a table or buffet for the guests, then porcelain is perfect.
Caring for porcelain is fairly straightforward. Most porcelain platters can go in the dishwasher, but be careful when stacking the trays. If they do not have a smooth foot, the bottom of a tray could scratch the glaze on the tray underneath. For the optimum shine, wipe the platter with a soft cloth before service.
