If you will be serving coffee or tea, you might look for a carrier that has a built-in coffee station organizer. Also consider the color. Choose a color that will best match your various catering events, since many carriers will be placed directly at the buffet or coffee station for immediate service.
When cleaning your beverage carrier, pay extra attention to the spigot as it is the place most likely to harbor mold or bacteria. Be sure to thoroughly wash the area surrounding the spigot both inside and out. Also, fill the container with warm soapy water and flush some through the spigot to assure the inside is cleaned and sanitized.
