The easiest way to wash flatware is to simply toss every piece into a dish rack and send it through the machine. To help facilitate that, Carlisle has this OptiClean™ Flatware Rack (C111) in their catalog. As simple design, it's a small basket with a fine latticework bottom that allows air and water to pass through, but keeps the silverware in place. The rack is half as wide as a regular dish rack, so two of them can sit side-by-side in the dish machine.
