Q: Does this dispenser work with wrapped and uwrapped toothpicks?
A: This Browne-Halco Stainless Toothpick Dispenser (HLTD5) will dispense both packaged and unpackaged round toothpicks. Make sure that all the toothpicks are either packaged or unpackaged as a mixture of the two could clog the dispenser.

Q: Can this dispenser be used to dispense pretzel rods (small ones, not the large rods)?
A: This Browne-Halco Stainless Toothpick Dispenser (HLTD5) is made to dispense only toothpicks. The salt that is on pretzel rods will clog up most toothpick dispensers and prevent them from working.

"When trying to dispense the toothpicks the wheel would get stuck. When that happens the guests would think the toothpick didn't dispense that way and would hit the guard that catches it and it would knock it off the counter. No longer using this dispenser. "
