These cups can quickly biodegrade under commercial composting conditions.

Even if a commercial composting facility is not available, biodegradable disposable cups that end up in a landfill are still better for the environment. Though items in a landfill take a long time to break down, disposables made from renewable resources will not leach toxic material into the environment if tossed into a landfill.
