Bonstone® is a revolutionary cutting surface that is neither better than stone cutting board, but it still needs a little care in order to be always working at its best. First things first, when you receive your carving stand, wash the board before using it with warm, soapy water and non-iodine sanitizers. Though it can be washed in the dishwasher, it is best to always use a mild detergent to clean the surface. If there are rough patches on the surface, they may be sanded down to make the surface completely smooth. Always remember to store the Bonstone® flat in a dry place.
Bonstone® surfaces can be used in hot or cold applications, but when heated, it is best if there is a heat source both above and below the surface. If you want to keep the surface looking shiny and new, use a surface polish or cleaner. Do not ever place the Bonstone® tiles in the oven or over direct flame.
