Q: Will this machine work with cheese and ham?
A: This Light-Duty 1/4 HP 9" Meat Slicer (AX-S9) is not made to be used with cheese on a regular basis. Cheese tends to gum up the blade very easily and therefore requires a medium-duty or heavy-duty unit. However, this light-duty unit will work with ham.

"I have always had a slicer mostly less expensive, plastic and foldable, really a big mistake. After my third and disgusted with these less expensive machines (the cost being about 1/3 of the AX-S9-S 9") I finaly purchased the better slicer. I'm quite satisfied with this slicer, and it is cleans up easily. "

"I looked everywhere trying to find a decent meat slicer for my home kitchen with no success. The solution to my problem was to buy a commercial grade slicer...I thought this option would be too expensive. It was not! I found Food Service Warehouse on the internet and I was impressed by what I read about the company so I looked through the slicer selections offered and found the AX-S9-S. It was a beautiful machine and appeared to be just what I was looking for. I had it in my home a few days later...and thanks for the free shipping and the great price! It is FANTASTIC!!!!!"
