These biodegradable bagasse plates are constructed from natural sugarcane fiber without the use of harmful chemicals. Bagasse looks and feels like paper. It decomposes within 180 days in soil or landfills and 15 days in water.

"We use these plates in the Activity department of our nursing home in an effort to move toward "green-ness"! We are very pleased with the plates, they are sturdy, plenty big enough for snacking and absolutely hold warm/hot snacks without leaking. My first concern around our Elders is always safety, but these plates have laid my concerns to rest!! Our Elders are thrilled with the idea of using earth friendly products and comments range from: "Oh how neat" to "What will they think of next"...We will definetely continue to order biodegradeable products. "
