The 12" x 13" Standard Blade Short Handle Wood Peel (2212) is a wooden pizza peel with a rectangular blade that measures twelve inches (30.5 cm) tall by thirteen inches (33 cm) wide making it the perfect size for small to medium sized pizzas. This all wood pizza peel, expertly manufactured by American Metalcraft, gives a nostalgic, old-world feel to any pizzeria and is the traditional tool used when cooking with a pizza oven. Wooden peels are better at holding the pizza on the peel and are gentler on the pizza than metal peels whose slick, sharp surfaces can accidentally cut or slice pizzas.

Q: Can you tell me what the thickness is on this product? We don't need it as a pizza peel so we are looking for something a little thicker.

"The peel is good, easy to handle, sometimes the dough get a bit sticky but some flour makes it easier to get into the oven. It is easy to wash as well. The measurements of the head are also good for a medium size pizza. The total length was perfect if you need to transport it somewhere else."

"The wood peel makes it very easy to place the pizza in the oven and then to remove it. The quality is so much better than the ones we have seen at the local stores. The handle is just the right length - many handles are too long for home use. Good purchase."
