The 13-1/2" Aluminum Round Blade Peel (17135) is an aluminum peel with a round blade that is 13½ inches (34.3 cm) in diameter making it the perfect size for medium-sized pizzas. Excellent product and easy to use and well made. For extra length, I was able to easily attach a wooden handle extension (roller paint handle from Lowes) using a drill and a 6"x3/8" wooden dowel. The price for this item was outstanding and very affordable compared to all the other vendors.
I have an outdoor brick pizza oven and purchased this product to turn pizzas once they are cooking inside. I read that a circular peel is best for this operation, and I definitely agree. I use a square peel for putting pizzas in and removing them and this peel to turn them.
Excellent peel for removing and turning neopolitan style pizzas from 600+ degree ovens. One forceful motion does the trick, don't try to inch your way under the pie! A little tricky to clean the aluminum, but it does the job its intended to.
I really like this item, since we like to bake pizza at times in our oven.
Works great for moving cheese cakes.
