The Resurgence of Paper Straws
We take for granted that there will always be a straw in our drink, should we request it. But every time we sip our sodas is we probably do not consider where that plastic straw winds up.
Luckily, Aardvark does think about that and has brought a back a more eco-friendly version of the paper drinking straw. Here are some of the features of the new, improved paper straw:
- Made from FDA food grade material
- 10% post-industrial fibers used in paper
- 100% chlorine free
- Biodegradable and compost-friendly
- More durable than original paper straws
Made in the U.S
Aardvark proudly makes all their straws in the U.S. out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Precision Products Group has a long history with the paper drinking straw since they first patented it back in 1888. The 2007 version is a sustainable product made from renewable resources, yet is biodegradable and 100% compost friendly. Though plastic eventually became the standard for straws, Aardvark recently made the decision to go back to its roots and bring back the environmentally friendly paper straw.
