Smoothing frosting with a dough scraper

This pastry chef is using a plastic dough scraper to smooth the surface of a cake. The scraper has one flat side for scraping flat surfaces and a rounded side for scraping bowls. The flat side is also ideal for tasks like this, where frosting or icings need to be smoothed and evened out. The cake sits on a white, round cake board.
