A breast of chicken sits on an outdoor grill at a BBQ festival. This grill should be more thoroughly seasoned to prevent the meat from sticking to the slats. However, the pieces of meat and juices from the chicken will gradually be absorbed into the porous cast iron grate, giving future pieces of meat a unique flavor from the cast iron slats.
